Summer Crafting Ideas for Cheap

It's hot outside which means a lot of folks are staying indoors to work on some long overdue crafting projects.Scrapbooker, Tanja Maduzia, stopped by to show us some affordable ways you can make some great projects out of material you probably already have lying around the house.

Three tips from Tanja:

1) If you are looking for a card to go with a present, use the wrapping paper. Cut out the image and stick it on a piece of cardstock.

2) When buying things for your home, buy fun post-its, paper clips and straws. All these things can also be used to make cards.

3) Instead of buying more sticker letters if missing just one, make a letter out of another letter. For example, a "d" can become an "a" with a little snip of the scissors.

Getting crafty for Mother's Day with affordable handcrafted cards

Master crafter and scrapbooker to the stars, Tanja Maduzia, explains how you can make your Mother's Day card a little more personal - and affordable - by going homemade.

Here's what you need:

• A few sheets of paper (in different colors and slightly different sized rectangles)
• A scissor
• Some tape
• A picture of you and your mom

Here's what you do:

• Layer one sheet of paper over another and tape them together so they look like a frame.
• Using 3D tape, attach the photo to layered paper to make it stand out
